So Amber and I were sitting in our house and realized a few things. One its been a week since we posted and its been way too long since I sat down at the keyboard.
So I'm going to attempt to fix both right now as everyone else in the house sleep. Which I have to admit at times, this is my favorite time of day. One has to take in context that my day, the ones when Im not at work, usually starts around 5:30am recently due to some odd reason Ruari has become a morning person and has to have her sesame street and cheerio fix. However next thing I know its 645 and the other two are up and ready for breakfast. After watching a Jack's Big Music show, it looks like its about 930 and the kids are ready for a nap. Usually so are mommy and daddy but we use this time to eat our breakfast and shower. The day pretty much goes into high gear by this point with the kids getting up and us trying to get out of the house, do lunch, shop/run errands and get back for afternoon nap. Next we know we are cooking dinner for them and trying to wind down the night before the last clothing/diaper change of the day and get them in bed around 7pm. Amber and I get to sit down and eat some dinner and watch a little TV. She usually gets to bed around 9 and Im left all alone for little while to watch "my dumb shows" and unwind before I crawl into bed and get ready for 530am and work the next day... Yes time does fly.
I also sit here and realize time flies in bigger ways too.. In just about twos years ago will be when we started this blog. That's right it is almost two years ago that we found out we were to be to the parents of triplets.. Now here I sit the dad to 17 month old triplets and expecting to add a baby girl in just 8 weeks.... Time is flying by.....
Amber and I also realized something.. that we have been a couple for coming up on 7 years now... When we first met she was still in college and I was finishing paramedic school. It amazing how so many things have happened, the good and the bad, the easy and the challenging.. the sad and joyful, over these last years. I have to take a moment to say that I consider myself a very lucky man, and husband... I wouldn't be who or where I am without Amber. I am sure some days she wonders what she got herself into when she started dating this crazy paramedic guy Jersey, but I'm sure happy she said yes.
Time is flying. I think I need to stop more often and sit back and enjoy it and try to slow it down when I can. I don't think I ready to send three kids to their first day of kindergarten anytime soon....let alone a 4th one.....
